Decision Support in Rambøll Project
"I often need to make decisions on the basis of different staff groups' objective and subjective assessments of a project. These projects are often quite comprehensive and require an objective basis for decision. It is a great challenge to ensure objectivity when so many subjective assessments – including my own – come into play. With Advizion's priority tool, I can get an overview of the importance of each of the individual sub-components in a project in relation to the overall assessment and prioritisation. In this way, we can ensure a good basis for objective decision-making”.
”Advizion's decision tool provides outstanding support in the decision process. It makes me absolutely certain that I do not inadvertently give lower priority to some sub-elements and provides a better basis for decision. It is an efficient management tool, which supports decisions and ensures a solid and documented basis for priority of a range of different, alternative solutions”.

Challenge
In connection with a comprehensive town planning project, a group consisting of 6 different occupational groups were to select the 4-5 best solution alternatives out of a total of 35. The best alternatives for the project were the solutions which, from an objective point of view, ensured the best possible solution within the fields "environment", "construction technique", "financing", "socioeconomics", "urban development", and "traffic".
Here the challenge was to ensure objectivity in the decision process and ensure that all effects and preconditions within each field were included in the basis for decision.
Solution
Advizion facilitated a decision process with participants from all occupational groups. Based on Advizion's priority tool, the group gave priority in pairs to the 35 different solutions on the basis of the priority criteria of the 6 occupational groups. Finally, they succeeded in finding the 4-5 best proposed solutions on the basis of an overall assessment of the effects and preconditions of the solutions within the 6 fields. Advizion's involvement in the decision process ensured efficiency, a cross-functional objective basis for decision and documentation of priorities of the involved occupational groups.
